Labatt Memorial Park

Labatt Memorial Park Collection

Welcome to Labatt Memorial Park, the WORLD’S oldest continuously operated baseball diamond, proudly recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. Despite its prestigious title, this remarkable landmark remains a hidden gem to many, both locally and globally.

At the London Heritage Council, our mission is to celebrate and promote the cultural and historic heritage of London. Labatt Memorial Park stands as a beacon of this mission—a place of unparalleled significance deserving of widespread recognition.

In 2021, Tourism London, alongside esteemed partners including the London Majors Alumni, the Friends of Labatt Park, and individuals from Western’s Public History program, launched the acclaimed Labatt Park Tours program. As of this year, the London Heritage Council (LHC) has taken the reins, expanding and enhancing these enriching tours. And we're just getting started!

Our ultimate goal is to establish a permanent museum dedicated to the rich history of Labatt Memorial Park. We are actively curating a collection of historically significant artifacts that chronicle not only the evolution of baseball but also the park's broader cultural and economic impact. From sporting milestones to community celebrations, every facet of Labatt Park's legacy deserves recognition.

Currently housed at the Roy McKay Clubhouse, our growing collection includes items loaned from the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Mary’s. Guests are invited to explore these treasures at the conclusion of their tour, offering a glimpse into the park's storied past. Our vision is to expand this experience, creating a comprehensive museum that honours Labatt Park's enduring legacy.

Join us in celebrating one of baseball's and London’s most venerable historical sites. Together, we can preserve and share the rich tapestry of Labatt Memorial Park for generations to come. Discover the history, embrace the legacy, and be part of something truly special.
